There are three churches in Skipton , and the Congregations have traditionally combined over the years to share the responsibilities for the annual organisation of "Carols By Candlelight" and "World Day of Prayer" taking turns to host these special
annual ecumenical services.
The clergy too share responsibility at the Anzac Day Service in April and in the past have attempted to attend the Remembrance Day Service in November.
As numbers lessen so too have the parishioners who maintain these
wonderful historically significant churches. Congregations are smaller but the buildings need maintenance.
Skipton Historical Society has wonderful records of the church buildings dating back to their origins. It is the current generation's
turn to step up to do their bit to preserve history.
